Time for my second Halloween DIY! This time it’s this spooky and magical crown to wear if you want to dress up as a fairy queen or a wicked witch or just to wear in everyday life. You could easily paint it white and put some glitter on it instead and be some kind of ice queen. The possibilities are endless!Halloween DIY Fairy Crown, become the queen of the woods with this easy DIY. By Jessica Andersdotter.

Materials:

  • Twigs
  • Wire
  • Something to cut the wire with

Instructions:

Start by making a long and bendy twig into a circle that fits your head. Gently twist the ends around the twig. It might look like a weird egg at the moment, but that’s okay. This will enable you to shape it into a circle.Halloween DIY Fairy Crown, become the queen of the woods with this easy DIY. By Jessica Andersdotter. Then keep wrapping the wire around and start including twigs. Where you place the twigs will shape your crown, so try and compose it from the start. I wanted mine to be higher at the front and have like a triangular shape, but yours can be equal all around or whatever you want. I just kept attaching twigs with the wire, building up a base and always keeping in mind where I wanted the front to be and how it would look from there. Halloween DIY Fairy Crown, become the queen of the woods with this easy DIY. By Jessica Andersdotter.
Time for the glue gun! When you’ve made a base that’s sturdy enough it’s easier to just glue the twigs to it.

It should start looking something like this.

I decided my front was done for now so I started covering the base circle with glue to make it more comfortable and make it more organic. And also to cover up the wires. So here’s where you’ll need a ton of glue. Basically just start to build it up and sculpt the base using the glue.

DON’T DO THIS IMMEDIATELY as it will burn your fingers really bad. I accidentally grabbed the glue part once and it hurts like hell.  Halloween DIY Fairy Crown, become the queen of the woods with this easy DIY. I made it a bit thicker in the front because I wanted to.

Time for the last step: painting it! If you have spray paint that might be easier but I didn’t and it wasn’t too horrible to paint it like this so it works.Halloween DIY Fairy Crown, become the queen of the woods with this easy DIY. Jag vet faktiskt inte! Vi har haft den typ hela mitt liv. Men det är en sån med små limstavar i alla fall, mer än så vet jag inte.
